About

Tiffany Sargent

I started teaching high school in 2004 and teaching college in 2008. In 2020, I left the college classroom to homeschool my kids. During that time, I felt the need to grow my social-emotional toolkit and pursued trainings in somatic practices, coaching, and therapeutic arts.

When I returned to the college classroom in the fall semester of 2022, I intentionally wanted to build in the pause, widen the perspective, and invite co-creation with my students. So I decided to offer centering and mindfulness practices as part of my classes.

Since then, I have noticed the shifts in my students as I invite them to think about their thinking. They show up more present and grounded for our time in the classroom and they have expressed gratitude for the offerings of these practices and shared that they are making a difference for them in their lives.

Offering these practices and centering skills is a passion of mine. I see how much a small change can lead to a dramatic difference in the way we individually show up and interact with others. As I coach and facilitate professional development trainings, I get the opportunity to see these tools positively impact others and shift the dynamic of a community.

What you can expect

Strengths-Based

Your protective patterns have kept you safe. Our goal is to identify these patterns and bring awareness to how we react in stressful situations. Then we explore together how these reactive patterns help us and learn to identify ways in which aspects of these patterns no longer serve us.

Trauma-Informed

Every session, whether it is a circle or a training all comes from a trauma-informed background with an intention to equip and inform you and your team to have a trauma-informed perspective.

Integrated

One of my passions and strengths is creatively curating content to help you integrate these practices to meet your specific needs. We will walk through how you can use these tools personally and in your profession and community.
